Snake River Adventures offers you a chance to fish for the plentiful A-run Steelhead of the Snake and Salmon Rivers. Or if you choose you can fish the larger B-run Steelhead of the Clearwater River. The A-run Steelhead average 6 to 8 pounds and the B-run Steelhead average 12 to 14 pounds.

We offer a different techniques to accommodate your steelhead fishing abilities. We can troll plugs or drift bait; whichever one suits you best. G-Loomis spinning rods and Shimano reels are used for drift steelhead fishing and G-Loomis casting rods are used for trolling. We also provide light tackle for bass and trout fishing. Lodging will be provided by Kirby Creek Lodge.

You will need an Idaho fishing license and a Steelhead tag. Steelhead season runs September through February.

We will provide a continental breakfast, coffee and orange juice, a personal box lunch with bottled water and soft drinks.

The Steelhead trout is a rainbow trout that has spent a part of its life in the sea. The difference is that by living in the sea the Steelhead as a unique color, shape and general appearance. They are by far the most beautiful freshwater fish found in our Rivers and Streams.
